*Sometimes a 2nd scan is necessary if pregnancy is not seen on the first scan but might be too early. Some clients also like to have a confirmation scan and then another scan further along to see more detail of the puppies/kittens once they've grown some more.
Microchipping
Litter of Puppies/Kittens:
£10 per puppy/kitten for the first 3 in the litter, £8 each thereafter.
Small Furry Pet (dogs, cats & rabbits) - £20 each
Cytology
Vaginal cytology is used to aid in knowing the best time to have your bitch mated by observing the changes to her vaginal cells that happen at ovulation. Cytology offers a valuable insight into the different stages of the Oestrus cycle (Proestrus, Oestrus & Dioestrus). The cells collected from the swab can show us if the bitch has ovulated yet or not, if she's gone past her fertile window or is having a split season. The procedure is painless and non-invasive, unlike the progesterone tests which require several blood tests over the course of several days.
£20 - 1 test
£15 - for each additional test for the same bitch on the same heat cycle
*We recommend starting the cytology testing from around day 7 so the progression through the heat cycle can be monitored and the optimal days for mating to be identified. This will also help to avoid missing a bitch that ovulates early.
